History

Northland Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Services has been a North of the River treasure for more than 40 years. Started in 1970 by therapist Bill Dunn, Frank Ferrantelle, P.T., purchased the practice in 1991. Ferrantelle, a Kansas City native and graduate of the University of Missouri School of Physical Therapy, continues to lead Northland Physical Therapy today.

Since those early years, Northland Physical Therapy has grown from 4 employees to 20 and has added 2 locations. The North Kansas City office remains where Northland Physical Therapy began over 40 years ago, but now there are also Liberty and Barry Road locations, opening in 2001 and 2005, respectively. While Northland Physical Therapy has grown through the years, its core mission and commitment to its patients remain unchanged, and its top-notch staff members continue to be leaders and innovators in physical therapy for the Greater Kansas City community.

Most recently, Ferrantelle and Northland Physcial therapy were honored by the Kansas City Business Journal receiving the 2011 Twenty-Five Best Small Businesses in Kansas City and Kansas with 25 or fewer employees.

We welcome you to the most established outpatient physical therapy clinic in the area. We pledge to you and to your doctor our best efforts with a rehab design like no other. That is the Northland Physical Therapy experience.
